What You Will Do
As the Engineering Manager at Cryopak Canada, you will oversee the development and competitiveness of our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead a team in optimizing processes, machinery, production, cost, safety, and quality. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of our plant operations and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a team by delegating tasks, providing mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations.Be hands‑on in researching and implementing engineering solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency.Identify equipment improvements with a focus on cost reduction opportunities.Coordinate equipment selection and start‑up of manufacturing plants, ensuring practical execution.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Bilingual with advanced computer software knowledge.Strong troubleshooting skills and a solid technical background.Bilingual (French, English intermediate).Effective communication in multinational teams required 75% of daily activities.Collaborates daily with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders in the US and Western Canada, communicating primarily in English.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.PMP an asset.Must be mechanically inclined and hands‑on.Must be available to travel up to 30% of the time; frequent travel to sites in the US and Western Canada, requiring strong English proficiency.Competencies
