As a member of the Control, Protection, and Automation team, you will play a key role in the design, coordination, and implementation of projects related to new power plants or the rehabilitation of existing systems. You will participate in design reviews with the client, support commissioning, and mentor junior engineers, while also contributing to bids. The following responsibilities form the core of this role in our Canadian team.
As a member of the Control, Protection, and Automation team, within the scope of new power plant projects and / or rehabilitation of existing systems, you will be responsible for :
- Electrical engineering of the protection / control / automation system
- Developing the engineering plan in collaboration with the project manager
- Executing project engineering with the support of the technical team (technicians, project engineers, engineers)
- Coordinating and monitoring progress with the technical team and the project manager
- Reviewing and stamping drawings and technical documents produced under your supervision
- Participating in design review meetings with the client
- Supervising the documents required for cabinet manufacturing
- Preparing and documenting system testing and validation procedures
- Participating in and supervising factory tests with the client
- Monitoring progress and supporting the electrical commissioning team
- Participating in and supervising final on-site tests during system re-commissioning
- Mentoring junior engineers on other projects
- Participating in bid preparation
