Excavator Operator

Dawson Civil is looking to hire a skilled Excavator Operator with piping experience to safely and efficiently dig trenches and install underground utilities.

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Civil, working in a temporary, full-time position of Excavator Operator , reporting to the Superintendent. These positions require experienced operators to meet company production objectives and work within specified tolerances. Your base location will be Quesnel, BC . and will require some travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Must prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the job
• Ability to efficiently operate heavy equipment
• Ability to read and understand survey stakes is considered an asset
• Operate heavy equipment in a mining environment in a safe and appropriate manner
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
• Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
• Complete daily hazard assessments, maintenance checklists, etc.
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections, and adhere to safety policies
