Job description
Embark on a vital maritime journey with Atlantic Towing as a Junior Marine Engineer in St. John's, NL. This part-time contract role ensures safe and efficient machinery operation aboard the vessel.

Atlantic Towing is seeking applications for a Junior Engineer, focusing on maintaining engine room watches and machine performance. You will supervise Oilers, perform planned maintenance, and assist in safety procedures while ensuring all operations meet regulatory requirements. This position plays an essential role in supporting the crew's safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: • Maintain safe and efficient Engine Room watch • Perform planned maintenance as directed by the Chief Engineer • Supervise cleaning tasks performed by Oilers • Carry out safety procedures as assigned • Keep records of spare parts used

Requirements: • Certification for propulsion power type • STCW 95 endorsement • Marine Emergency Duties certification • Marine First Aid and CPR trained • Understanding of pollution regulations
