Job description
Take on a pivotal role at the BC Liquor Distribution Branch as an Indigenous Reconciliation Advisor, focused on advancing equity and cultural competency. This is a full-time position with opportunities for hybrid or remote work.

As an advisor, you will lead the charge in implementing the BC government’s Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act action plan. Your input will be essential in developing impactful initiatives that resonate with and support First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. This team of dedicated professionals values your contributions within a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement effective Indigenous programs • Oversee change management related to equity initiatives • Collaborate with various departments on reconciliation strategies • Manage timelines for project deliverables • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders

Requirements: • Education in Indigenous studies or a related discipline • At least two years of relevant experience • Proven track record in managing initiatives • Strong communication and project management skills • Preference for Indigenous applicants as outlined in BC Human Rights Code
