Job description
Join the Catholic District School Board as an Elementary Literacy Curriculum Coordinator to lead K-6 literacy initiatives. This permanent role focuses on effective literacy practices and school collaboration to enhance student reading and writing outcomes.

Reporting to the Principal of Curriculum and Student Success, the coordinator will oversee the implementation of best practices in literacy, specifically Tier 1 and Tier 2 instruction. This role includes coordinating with intervention teachers, supporting early reading screenings, and managing data analysis to drive student achievement. A strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and responsiveness to system needs is essential.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead literacy practices across K-6 schools • Support and guide intervention teachers effectively • Conduct early reading screenings and follow-up assessments • Manage data collection and literacy outcomes analysis • Facilitate professional learning for educators

Requirements: • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate required • Qualifications in Reading and Special Education • Familiarity with evidence-based literacy instruction methods • Experience in instructional assessment and reporting practices • Valid driver's license and vehicle access needed
