Professional Engineer
to support our estimating, design, project management, and field operations. This person will be responsible for reviewing and stamping drawings, preparing inspection reports, and helping our team deliver safe, buildable scaffold and temporary structure solutions. Job Description
The successful candidate must hold a valid
P.Eng. designation
and be able to stamp drawings for scaffold, shoring, and temporary works projects. Scaffold.ca will support the required company engineering setup, including professional liability insurance and any required registration or authorization needed so that drawings can be properly stamped under the company. This role is ideal for an engineer who understands construction, is comfortable working with field teams, and can turn project requirements into practical, safe, and buildable designs. Responsibilities
Review project drawings, site conditions, and client requirements Prepare, review, and stamp scaffold, shoring, stair tower, access platform, and temporary structure drawings Prepare engineering calculations and supporting documentation where required Use
BricsCAD
for drawing review and design work Work with AutoCAD files and similar CAD formats as required Prepare written inspection reports after site reviews Attend site visits and perform scaffold/shoring inspections when required Identify deficiencies, safety concerns, and required corrective actions Coordinate with estimators, project managers, and field supervisors Support field crews with technical questions and buildability concerns Help prepare technical documentation for proposals, submissions, and client requirements Ensure designs, inspections, and reports meet applicable codes, regulations, safety standards, and professional engineering requirements Help improve internal processes for design, drawing review, inspections, and project documentation Qualifications
Must be a licensed
Professional Engineer, P.Eng. Must be legally able to stamp engineering drawings in Ontario Civil, structural, construction, or mechanical engineering background preferred Experience with scaffolding, shoring, formwork, temporary works, or construction access systems is strongly preferred Strong ability to read architectural, structural, and construction drawings Experience with
BricsCAD
preferred AutoCAD experience is also acceptable, as BricsCAD is very similar Ability to prepare clear, professional inspection reports Strong understanding of construction site conditions and safety requirements Strong communication and problem-solving skills Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects Valid driver’s licence required Comfortable attending construction sites across the GTA What We Offer
