This role is primarily focused on pre-development and is a key position in the strategic planning and implementation of new projects. Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director, Real Estate Development and New Markets, the Project Manager – Real Estate Development acts as key support in the operational execution of development initiatives and real estate expansion projects. The person in this role actively contributes to pre-development phases by coordinating due diligence activities, structuring technical and regulatory information, preparing analysis tools, and assisting the team in preparing decision‑making files and executive presentations. This person plays a central role in coordinating external partners and consultants, preparing budgets and schedules, and monitoring every step of a pre‑development project. This role directly supports project advancement from site identification through to handoff to the construction teams. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a structured approach, and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment where several opportunities and projects are evaluated simultaneously. Key Responsibilities
Operationally manage real estate opportunities by tracking statuses, priorities, milestones, and next steps. Compile, structure, and maintain the information required for decision‑making, including dashboards, summaries, and reports. Participate in the preliminary evaluation of potential sites, including regulatory, territorial, and technical analyses. Coordinate due diligence activities and the work of specialized consultants while ensuring timelines and deliverables are met. Support the coordination of professionals during the pre‑development phase, including architects, engineers, and planners, and contribute to the development of preliminary concepts. Participate in planning and ensure the monitoring and adherence of pre‑development budgets and schedules. Contribute to alignment between pre‑development and construction phases to ensure a smooth transition to execution. Ideal Profile
University degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Engineering, or any other related field. 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in real estate development, pre‑construction, or project management in multidisciplinary environments. Experience on projects completed in Canada (outside Quebec) is required. Experience on projects in the United States is an asset. Experience in hospitality, tourism, or commercial projects is an asset. Experience working for a developer or a general contractor in pre‑construction is an asset. Excellent organizational skills in a fast‑growing company. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously. Analytical mindset and attention to detail. Ability to structure and synthesize information. Good understanding of real estate development processes. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants. Experience preparing and managing schedules; proficiency in MS Project is required.
