What You’ll Do As the General Manager, you will support multiple long term care and senior living sites across south central Alberta, overseeing food services, hospitality, housekeeping, laundry and retail. Reporting to the District Manager, you will ensure each location delivers safe, compliant, resident-centred service every day. You will set the operational vision for each site and work closely with on site teams to ensure consistent delivery through hands on leadership, coaching, and collaboration. The successful candidate will have experience leading large, diverse teams and a proven track record of service excellence, people development, and operational performance in healthcare, hospitality, or a related field.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as a senior operational leader and trusted partner for both our client organizations and Aramark
Champion a safety first culture, ensuring all services meet or exceed provincial health, safety, and infection prevention standards
Ensure full compliance with Aramark programs, healthcare regulations, and site specific contractual requirements
Deliver high quality food, hospitality, and support services tailored to the needs of residents, families, and clinical teams
Train, coach, and develop site managers to ensure consistent service delivery and strong leadership pipelines
Support succession planning and workforce stability across all assigned sites
Drive annual revenue growth and operational improvements through quality, innovation, and targeted service enhancements
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with Alberta Health Services (AHS) standards, licensing requirements, and contractual obligations
Act as delegate for the District Manager when required
Qualifications
University/College degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Health Services, or a related field (preferred)
CSNM is an asset
Advanced food safety certification (e.g., Food Safe Level 2, equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of management experience in a fast paced food service, healthcare, or hospitality environment
Experience managing multiple locations and leading teams of 20+ employees
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Proven financial literacy, including the ability to analyze budgets, operating reports, and financial statements
Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain strong, diverse teams
Strong relationship building skills with internal teams, clients, and senior leadership
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Positive attitude and a genuine commitment to resident-centred service
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The pay range for this position is $83,811.00 - $105,029.00.
