Job description
Join Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, British Columbia as a Locum Infectious Disease physician, covering parental leave. Anticipate a flexible commitment ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 FTE.

This locum position is to cover the Infectious Diseases program at RIH, where you’ll collaborate with a collegial group of four physicians. You will manage a diverse range of inpatient and outpatient cases in a supportive community-based tertiary referral facility. Key responsibilities include occasional on-call duties, approximately 1 in 6 weeks, and telephone coverage for Interior Health.

Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team • Participate in on-call coverage during evenings or weekends • Manage a diverse patient population • Shadow bill and adhere to MOCAP guidelines

Requirements: • Medical degree and licensure in British Columbia • Experience in Infectious Diseases preferred • Ability to work flexible hours as required • Commitment to patient-centered care • Strong communication and teamwork skills
