Job descriptionPosition Overview This role is based in our Toronto office and primarily focuses on selling delegate places for our events and training courses worldwide. The role involves outbound telephone sales, cross‑selling opportunities, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Make at least 100 calls a day to contact clients and prospects.
Generate revenue by selling large‑scale events, specialised conferences, and training courses.
Identify cross‑selling opportunities across the full portfolio (Finance, Life Sciences, Maritime, Marketing, Legal & Tax, Energy & Agriculture, etc.)
Provide support for revenue collection.
Deliver detailed feedback to divisional managers and other departments on event and sales progress.
Benchmark against competitive events.
Participate in lead generation activities.
Follow up on leads promptly and proactively.
Ensure consistency of sales/marketing information for customers.
Collaborate with Informa Connect teams and event teams to conduct efficient sales activities aligned with business objectives.
Perform additional duties as needed to support overall business.
Qualifications
Proactive, resourceful with exceptional organisational skills.
Strong communication skills with a customer‑focused approach.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced sales environment with ability to identify and act on cross‑selling opportunities.
Experience in telephone‑based sales and lead generation is a plus.
Working Conditions Hybrid/balanced working model with a 3‑day in‑office expectation. Working hours may vary due to selling to international clients.
Benefits The salary range for this role is $40,000 - $44,000 CAD based on experience. Additional benefits include:
