The role requires clear articulation of building project needs, technical confidence, and credible understanding of the sector.

What You’ll Do
Operational management encompassing market development, business opportunity identification, marketing plan development, and business development initiatives
Lead client relationships, business, and team development
Achieve Division's financial objectives through yearly business plans and prospect prioritization
Deliver outstanding service by ensuring successful planning, design, and management of projects
Review proposals to ensure alignment with company capabilities and risk minimization
Collaborate with other managers on multi‑discipline projects
Keep staff technically current: organize conference attendance, recommend papers, and collaborate with Technical Vice Presidents and the General Manager
Ensure all engineering work meets industry standards, company procedures, and client expectations
Support Group and Project Managers with project execution, resource allocation, and risk management
Optimize staff utilization across the Division
Select and hire staff, develop their career path focused on technical leadership, project management, client management, or a blend
Represent the Company in public and professional activities to enhance its reputation
Does this sound like you?
Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution
Registered, or eligible for registration as a professional engineer with EGBC (P.Eng.)
12+ years of experience in design, engineering, construction, and management, including a minimum of 5 years in a consulting capacity
Project management of industrial and multi‑discipline projects
Experience in consulting and/or professional work in B.C. is an asset
Experience in business development in private and public sectors
Experience liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants
Experience coaching and mentoring staff
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Committed team player and independent worker
Ability to travel across Canada
Valid driver’s licence
