Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, the Electrical Supervisor will supervise electricians and be responsible for electrical work throughout the mine\'s operations. Based at the Windfall site in the Nord-du-Québec region, the position follows a 15 days on / 13 days off schedule with transportation, lodging and meals provided. Responsibilities
Ensure that work and installations are carried out safely and comply with applicable Quebec standards, codes and regulations. Plan and supervise electrical work at the Windfall site in the exploration ramp and on surface. Request supplies and equipment needed for the advancement and maintenance of site infrastructures to ensure smooth operations. Organize the schedule of underground and surface electricians. Plan the electrical component (labor and equipment) of budgets, schedules and cost tracking. Ensure the planning, organization and management of preventive maintenance activities. Work closely with electrical engineers. Opportunity to work on other company projects. Report to your supervisor any situations that may affect the work of your team; provide suggestions for improvement and innovative ideas to improve the project and maintenance process. Comply at all times with occupational health and safety and environmental policies and rules, and ensure that staff comply with these rules. Perform any other tasks related to the Electrical Supervisor position that are relevant to the success of the project. Qualifications
College diploma (DEC) in Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control (an asset) or vocational diploma (DEP) in electricity or electromechanics. Ten (10) years of experience, including five (5) years in the electrical field in underground mines. Hold the Certificat de Compétence en Électricité (CÉ) du QUÉBEC (licence C en électricité). Supervisory experience. Work experience in the start-up of new mining projects (an asset). Good knowledge of English. Very good knowledge of French (spoken and written). French is the first language at work. A valid class 5 driver\'s license. Possess an explosives license. Successful completion of mining modules 1-2-3-4-5 and 7. Technical Skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, etc.). Knowledge of computer-aided maintenance management software, e.g. Guide TI. Knowledge of instrumentation and control (e.g. PLC, DCS, fiber optics, etc.). Mastery of the building code as well as the various laws and regulations governing the distribution and use of electrical energy in a mine. Knowledge of low, medium and high voltage distribution networks. Basic Skills
