As
Branch Manager , you will provide overall leadership to all branch employees and take full responsibility for operational performance, customer satisfaction, safety, service excellence, employee engagement, and financial results. This role requires a strong leader with deep operational insight, sound business judgment, and the ability to motivate teams to achieve shared goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
Follow all workplace safety protocols and environmentally sound practices, making sure everyone stays safe.
Provide overall leadership and direction to branch staff across rentals, service, parts, drivers, and yard operations.
Ensure adherence to all company and customer safety standards while promoting a strong safety culture.
Analyze and present new business opportunities, implementing location strategies while managing resources to increase revenue and maximize profitability.
Maintain a strong understanding of customers, competitors, and local market conditions.
Ensure service and repair backlog is maintained within company standards.
Hire, train, develop, and mentor team members across all branch functions.
Conduct performance reviews, establish development plans, and hold employees accountable for performance and objectives.
Drive in‑store merchandising initiatives including pricing, inventory control, and product placement.
Ensure corporate policies, procedures, and applicable legislation are consistently followed.
Maintain exceptional levels of customer service and provide resolution support when needed.
Prepare, forecast, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including profit & loss statements, yearly budgets, monthly safety inspections, and monthly operating reviews.
Monitor credit exposure, overdue accounts, and financial risk.
Maintain accurate inventories while preventing and reducing slow‑moving or obsolete stock.
Authorize expenditures, approve invoices, and manage petty cash.
Ensure branch productivity, order fulfillment, and service operations are running efficiently.
Oversee the on‑site Heat Division, including staff, inventory, and assets.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For
Rental Industry Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the rental industry or a related field such as construction, home improvement or retail.
Leadership:
Proven experience leading, developing and motivating teams.
Business Acumen:
Strong financial and business acumen.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel.) Experience with Systematics and TRAC would be an asset.
Analytical Thinker:
Proven ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and drive results. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Construction Knowledge:
Familiarity with construction equipment and building products.
Customer Service Oriented:
Excellent communication skills and customer service aptitude with the ability to resolve escalated issues.
Team Player:
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
A Self‑Starter:
With a keen sense of time‑management and effective planning skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
G Class Driver’s License:
Full G Class driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
Safety Focused:
Follow all workplace safety protocols and environmentally sound practices, making sure everyone stays safe.
Flexibility to support emergencies, overtime, and travel requirements as needed.
Experience with health and safety training (i.e WHMIS, etc.)
A technical understanding of CAT equipment would be considered an asset.
