Vacancy Status : This job posting is for an existing vacancy. This is a full-time contract position until March 31, 2027.
What you can expect The Customer Service Specialist will provide clients with accurate information and appropriate referrals on matters related to employment, trades, immigration, settlement, and community resources on a drop-in basis. Responsibilities include needs assessment and orientation, reception duties, data entry, and referrals to internal and external programs.
Responsibilities
Provide strong customer service by greeting participants in person and over the phone.
Provide orientation and resources to new participants, highlighting services and programs offered in the centre.
Assist participants with information searches, online applications, resume tools, and online training tools.
Assist with administrative duties, including tracking statistics, filing, and ensuring government forms are completed and signed.
Provide intake to EO and make proper referrals to other programs; provide intake to LARC and referrals to other programs.
Support the Retention Specialist in connecting with Stream C clients for upcoming monitors.
Collect documents such as pay stubs as required by program deliverables and contractual obligations.
Data entry in Caseflow as required.

Education : Post-secondary education in a related field
Language : Fluent in English and French, oral and written essential. Other languages are a strong asset.
Experience, Skills & Abilities : Experience with newcomers or immigrants, or working in a multicultural environment; knowledge of immigrant settlement services and programs; excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
Additional Requirements : Valid permit to work in Canada; Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector (within 6 months); annual mandatory training for protection of Children & Youth with certificate of completion.
