Job description
Join Decatur Park District as a Marketing Specialist, where creative skills meet community engagement. Utilize Adobe tools and social media to promote our parks, programs, and events.

In this role, you will be essential in crafting compelling marketing strategies for various community events, including the Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater and large annual events. Your responsibilities will involve website management, social media oversight, and producing print materials that resonate with our audience. You'll collaborate closely with the Marketing and Communications team to enhance youth sports participation and community interaction.

Key Responsibilities: • Manage and update the Decatur Park District website effectively • Create and oversee social media content that boosts engagement • Develop promotional materials for events and fundraising initiatives • Produce regular newsletters for internal and external communication • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite for creating visual marketing content

Requirements: • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign • Strong knowledge of WordPress website management • Experience in social media management and content creation • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Foundational experience in marketing or communications
