Pay Rate: 18.00 - 20.00 CAD/hour
Schedule: Full-time (30+ hours/week)
Duration: 7 Month Contract
Job description Company is helping our client find a Receiving Associate (Unloading) to join their Longueuil team.
In this role, you'll support warehouse receiving operations by unloading inbound shipments, verifying materials, and identifying and documenting any discrepancies or damage. You'll play an important role in ensuring materials are accurately received and processed efficiently within the warehouse.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
As a Receiving Associate (Unloading), you will: - Welcome carriers and support inbound receiving activities at the warehouse dock.
- Unload inbound shipments, including FedEx-style deliveries and light pallets using pallet jacks.
- Sort incoming materials and prepare receiving documentation.
- Verify packing list quantities and identify discrepancies or damaged materials.
- Document and communicate receiving issues to the receiving supervisor, including photo documentation when needed.
- Support inventory labeling and material put-away activities during periods of increased receiving volume.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Ideal candidate profile English speaking and writing is a plus.
Daily tasks Staying at the gate waiting for receivings. Welcoming carriers for inbound shipments. Unloading client type receivings. Unloading light skids with a handjack. Preparing receivings (sorting problematic cases). Sorting material. Matching packing lists quantities. Annotating any problem with the material and communicating/documenting it with pictures to the receiving supervisor. Support receiving team for labelling and inventory putaway in case of occasional receiving overflow. (Opportunity to grow within the company).
Required skills Attention to detail. Handling a pallet jack (Electrical and Mechanical). ability to decipher written receiving information on packing lists (Part numbers, PO, quantities, trackers ). Clear written communication. ability to lift boxes up to 30 pounds. French fluency is mandatory. English speaking and writing is a plus. Wearing safety equipment (Dossard, steel toes )
