Job description
Lead impactful housing initiatives as a Community Program Coordinator at York Region, focusing on homelessness. This temporary full-time role offers the chance to work hybrid, aiming to enhance community support systems.

You will report directly to the Program Manager for Housing Stability & Homelessness while managing and improving programs designed for individuals at risk of homelessness. The position requires liaising with community agencies, overseeing contract compliance, and taking part in financial monitoring, promoting effective service delivery to diverse populations in York Region.

Key Responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with service agreements and financial targets • Manage the preparation of funding allocations and payments • Liaise with community partners for program coordination • Conduct data collection for internal reporting needs • Support new program initiatives and compliance assessments

Requirements: • Completion of a diploma program in Social Services • Minimum three years working in social services • Experience in housing stability and contract management • Knowledge of relevant social service regulations • Valid Ontario driver’s license and vehicle
