Job description
Make an impact as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist in Whitby, where your expertise in payroll administration and employee support will shine in a hybrid work model. The Town of Whitby seeks a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to ensure accurate payroll processing for over 950 employees. This role, reporting to the Supervisor of Payroll Services, highlights your skills in payroll compliance, HRIS systems, and exceptional customer service. Join a collaborative team that values accountability and respect, and enjoy a fulfilling work environment. Key Responsibilities: • Administer bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees • Prepare payroll, pension, and benefits reporting • Act as pension administrator for OMERS enrolments • Investigate employee benefit inquiries and issues • Assist with year-end payroll activities and reporting Requirements: • Diploma in Business, Accounting, or HR Management • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation • Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll administration • Advanced skills in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite • Knowledge of OMERS and benefits administration Bring your expertise in payroll and benefits to support the Town of Whitby’s community. #J-18808-Ljbffr
