Job description
Lead financial strategy for Gambler First Nation as the Director of Finance. This impactful role blends technical financial expertise with community-focused decision-making and requires oversight of all financial management activities.

Reporting to Chief and Council, you will oversee budgeting, compliance, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with legislative mandates and governance expectations. Your role is vital in supporting operational leaders and maintains a community-centered approach to financial stewardship, contributing directly to the long-term sustainability of Gambler First Nation.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead financial management and reporting processes • Develop annual budgets and forecasts • Ensure compliance with funding agreements • Monitor financial performance and provide reporting • Oversee year-end audit coordination

Requirements: • Degree in finance or accounting required • Professional accounting designation preferred • Experience in Indigenous finance valued • Leadership experience in finance functions necessary • Strong understanding of financial legislation
