EnVision Consultants Ltd. is looking for a bright, motivated, team-oriented person to join our organization as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:
Support the goals of the geotechnical team, monitoring and managing operational responsibilities of the staff within the group
Senior supervision of co‑ordination and execution of field work associated with our geotechnical services
Preparation and/or review of geotechnical reports
Management of project financials and schedules
Communication with clients to assist with the development and execution of work
Proposal preparation and/or review
Ensuring high quality technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables
Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement through on‑the‑job coaching and guidance to junior and intermediate geotechnical staff
Supporting and/or developing Health and Safety programs
Collaborate with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi‑disciplinary projects
Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed
Any other functions assigned as part of your employment
To apply to this position, you should expect to have:
A degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological engineering
10‑15 years of prior consulting experience working in the field of geotechnical discipline
Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co‑workers
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time‑sensitive issues
Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn and teach
