Job description
Position Internship Fall 2026 – Environment, Health & Safety Co‑Op Student

Location: Mississauga, Ontario (1801 Courtney Park Dr, BLDG P22M01)

Internship Dates: August 31st to December 18th, 2026

Overview The EHS student will work as part of a small site‑specific Environment, Health & Safety team and the Training Coordinator to support environmental and safety initiatives at the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

Assist with environmental and safety initiatives.

Support the Training Coordinator with training record management.

Identify and implement best practices for waste, water use, and energy consumption.

Support EH&S programs related to risk identification and mitigation, including ergonomics and chemical exposures.

Lead projects focused on wastewater discharge compliance, worker chemical exposures, carbon footprint reduction, and overall risk reduction initiatives.

Assist in developing business case documents for capital projects related to environment, health and safety, including data gathering, vendor communication, budget estimates, project scheduling, and proposal writing.

Maintain accurate records for all training courses in the plant.

Communicate with plant employees, management, and supervisors; attend committee meetings related to sustainable factory, industrial hygiene, joint health & safety, and change management.

Qualifications

Eligible to work in Canada.

Enrolled in a Canadian university throughout the internship.

Working on‑site in the province where hired.

Pursuing studies in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or Ergonomics.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with a commitment to EH&S.

Strong attention to detail for records management.

Team player with strong individual initiative.

Ability to multi‑task and manage changing priorities.

Salary Range: 21.60 to 31.00 CAD.
