Digital Marketing Coordinator
to support the promotion of the
Working Holiday Program for Canadian youth
under the
International Experience Canada (IEC)
initiative.
This is a unique opportunity for candidates who are interested in combining an 8-week remote summer position in Canada with a Working Holiday experience abroad after the placement.
During the Canadian summer role, you will support digital marketing, campus outreach, and youth engagement initiatives to help inspire young Canadians to explore work and travel opportunities abroad.
Following the summer placement, the selected candidate will be expected to participate in one of the following work abroad opportunities:
Paid teaching placement in Italy or France
— 3 to 9 months
Paid hospitality work placement in Hong Kong
— 3 months
Priority will be given to candidates who are genuinely interested in completing both the Canadian summer placement and the international work abroad component.
About the Role As a Digital Marketing Coordinator, you will play a key role in promoting the Working Holiday Program to Canadian youth, particularly students and recent graduates. This role combines digital marketing, campus outreach, peer‑to‑peer engagement, and content creation.
Key Responsibilities
Promote Working Holiday opportunities to Canadian youth across major Canadian campuses and online communities
Support outreach to student unions, youth clubs, residence associations, career centres, international offices, and campus organizations
Help plan and execute campus‑focused outreach initiatives to increase awareness of IEC opportunities
Create targeted social media content for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, including posts, reels, captions, and story ideas
Develop simple marketing assets and campaign ideas to engage Canadian youth
Represent the program in virtual or in‑person outreach activities, presentations, and information sessions
Share insights from your own interest in work abroad opportunities to help make youth‑facing messaging more authentic and relatable
Option 1: Paid Teaching Placement in Italy or France
Duration: 7 to 9 months
Paid teaching assistant role
Opportunity to support English‑language learning in schools
Ideal for candidates interested in education, languages, youth engagement and cultural exchange
Option 2: Hospitality Work Placement in Hong Kong
Duration: ~3 months
Paid hospitality placement
Opportunity to gain international customer service and tourism experience
Ideal for candidates interested in travel, hospitality, international work and intercultural communication
Candidates should be open to travelling abroad after the Canadian summer placement and participating in the preparation process for their selected work abroad option.

Qualifications

Strong communication and presentation skills
Comfortable with public speaking and engaging groups
Organized, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment
Active on campus, social media and student communities
