Wuxlyis seeking a Design & Technical Product Developer – Interlayer Systems to support the development of insulation and thermal regulation products used in extreme environments. This role contributes to pattern engineering, material integration, and technical development of interlayer garments designed for modulardefencesystems. This position is ideal for an early-career professional interested in performance insulation, thermal mapping, and material-driven design within a technical apparel environment. Responsibilities: Design & Technical Support Support development of insulated garment patterns, including baffling, quilting, and layered constructions Assist in translating thermal mapping concepts into functional pattern solutions Create and maintain tech packs including insulation specifications, stitch types, and construction methods Develop technical flats and construction diagrams in Adobe Illustrator Support marker efficiency for bulk insulation materials and complex pattern geometries Participate in fittings with focus on mobility, compression, and layering compatibility Document feedback related to thermal performance, fit, and material behavior Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine insulation distribution and garment performance Support iterative prototyping and testing cycles Assist in sourcing insulation materials (synthetic, down alternatives, aerogels, etc.) Maintain material libraries for thermal fabrics and fill technologies Support evaluation of thermal efficiency, weight, and packability Qualifications and Profile We’re Looking For: Alignment with, and exemplification ofWuxly’svalues (Unequivocal Excellence,Act Like an Owner, Drive Innovation,Row Together,Humble) Diploma or degree in Apparel Design, Textile Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in technical apparel development, preferably in insulation or outerwear systems Demonstrated experience with complex constructions (e.g., baffling, quilting, multi-layer assemblies) Proficiency in Gerber (pattern and marker) and Adobe Illustrator Experience developing production-ready tech packs and managing prototype iterations Strong understanding of thermal systems, insulation materials, and layering strategies Experience translating performance requirements into pattern and construction solutions Familiarity with testing standards for thermal performance (preferred) Highly detail-oriented with strong technical documentation skills Strong cross-functional collaboration skills Wuxly may use AI to assist in the initial screening stage of the recruitment process - however, Humans will be the primary reviewer of applications.
