We’re on the hunt for a motivated and talented
Engineering Student
in our Industrialization department at our Montreal office. This is a 4 or 8 month assignation starting in September 2026.
Role The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Production Manager and will be embedded in a team of Industrial Engineers and Technologists. The
Industrial Engineering Student
participates in AI&T planning and improvement activities for the industrialization of antenna and satellite products.
Responsibilities Tasks and projects are assigned in accordance with production needs with consideration for the student’s skills, interests, schooling level, and experience achieved to date. Examples of tasks that have previously been assigned to students are as follows:
Perform capacity analysis and create layout to optimize production lines
Determine material flow and resources requirements to ensure smooth production
Manage and support the optimization of existing processes
Capture and analyze production data (e.g., time studies) to identify improvement opportunities
Follow up on continuous improvement initiatives to ensure implementation and sustainability
Assist in analyzing internal processes to identify inefficiencies and risks
Collaborate effectively with design, procurement, program manager, test, QA and assembly teams
Act as a positive initiator of change by suggesting practical improvement ideas
Support the development and maintenance of operational documentation, procedures and process standards
Required experience and skills
Must be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a preference for Industrial engineering (or equivalent) with two (2) years completed
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Good written and oral communication skills in French and English
Interest in aerospace and appreciation for challenges related to the space environment
Knowledge of Six Sigma, LEAN principles and other improvements methodologies
Ability to quickly analyze and resolve operational challenges
Dynamic, proactive, detail-oriented, attentive to others
Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills
High adaptability in fast changing environment
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Desirable skills
Knowledge of MS Office, Visio, and AutoCAD
Knowledge of FlexSim or other production simulation software
Background in project management
Experience in the aerospace sector
Experience in logistics
