Job description
Lead the global tax function at AppDirect as the Director of Tax, ensuring compliance and driving efficient processes. This hands-on role focuses on indirect taxation, including HST/GST/QST and U.S. sales tax. As a strategic leader, you will build and scale AppDirect's tax function while managing compliance and reporting for all indirect taxes in Canada and the U.S. You will guide senior leadership on tax implications tied to M&A activities and new market expansions. Your expertise in tax compliance, audit management, and ERP systems will be critical in navigating complex tax landscapes. Key Responsibilities: • Build AppDirect's internal tax function from the ground up • Own compliance for indirect taxes across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions • Lead end-to-end tax audits and manage authority relationships • Advise senior leadership on business tax implications • Partner with Finance and Legal on cross-border transactions Requirements: • 10+ years of progressive tax experience • 3+ years in a leadership role • Expertise in Canadian indirect taxes and U.S. sales tax • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • CPA qualification with knowledge of tax technology Shape the future of AppDirect's tax function and drive compliance initiatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
