Job descriptionThe Operations Director will lead and oversee operational delivery across data and technology enabled initiatives, ensuring efficient execution, strong stakeholder engagement, and alignment with strategic business objectives. This role requires deep experience working with information systems under SDLC/BAU processes, big data environments, and modern data platforms combined with the ability to manage clients, senior stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams.
Position Responsibilities
Provide operational leadership across our data transformation process and technology‑driven programs.
Oversee day‑to‑day operational performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and quality of service.
Collaborate closely with partners and stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, deliver outcomes as well as being the primary point of contact for escalations.
Provide clear reporting and communication to senior management and key stakeholders.
Ensure effective use and integration of data lake technologies and enterprise data platforms.
Lead and support teams working with large‑scale data environments and information systems.
Govern operational and execution of delivery across projects in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Support operational planning, risk management, and continuous process improvement.
Collaborate with engineering, data, and business teams to ensure alignment between operational execution and strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
5‑7 years of experience working with enterprise information systems and SDLC/BAU processes.
Working knowledge of Databricks and its application in large‑scale data processing.
Familiarity with data lake technologies and modern data architecture.
5‑7 years of experience working with big data environments (structured and unstructured).
5‑7 years of experience in client management and engagement with major stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Demonstrated experience operating in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
Strong operational, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Strategic thinker with strong execution capability.
Comfortable operating in a complex and fast paced matrixed environment.
Ability to translate technical concepts into business‑focused discussions.
Results‑oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or exposure to project management practices and tools are a strong asset.
Familiarity with Moody’s AXIS.
Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Background in financial services, analytics, or data‑intensive industries (preferred but not required).

Salary range is expected to be between $125,100.00 CAD - $175,100.00 CAD
