We are a small law firm offering services in the areas of Immigration, Refugee and Family Law. Currently, we are expanding, and I am looking to hire an articling student for the Summer 2026 Articling period. Start date is June 24, 2026.
The ideal candidate shares an interest in practicing in the previously mentioned areas and possesses relevant knowledge and experience. The ideal candidate has a positive go-getter attitude and is able to multi-task. The ideal candidate has strong work ethic and realizes this position is an entry level commitment to an amazing career with an amazing team. The ideal candidate is a COMPETENT, MATURE, CONFIDENT and RESPONSIBLE individual who has previously worked in the legal industry or in an office setting. The ideal candidate is able to handle a large file volume. The ideal candidate is able to work with others in an amicable and professional manner. The student will shadow me in various applications before the Refugee Protection Division, Refugee Appeal Division, Immigration Division, Canada Border Services Agency, and the Federal Court of Canada. They will work on various immigration appeals, applications for humanitarian and compassionate grounds, pre-removal risk assessments, study permits, and sponsorship applications.
*There is a hire-back option for a committed and HARD WORKING candidate at the end of the articling period. The hire back option will be based on competitive remuneration. We're looking to train a student to keep later on, so please DO NOT apply if you are not interested in practicing Immigration, Refugee and Family law.

*Completion of Ontario Bar exam is a major asset

Location: Toronto/North York - Student will work with a receptionist and a senior law clerk. The student will be directly supervised by me. The ideal candidate is an Ontario resident living in the Greater Toronto Area.
Compensation: $4,018.00 (monthly)
Benefits: 2 weeks off for winter holidays and 90% health coverage (dental, vision, therapy & pharma)
Duration & Schedule: Full-time 11 Months, Monday to Friday starting ASAP. There is a 30 day paid probation period to gauge whether the candidate is a right fit.
