The role
would suit a candidate with a strong UK corporate tax background, a good awareness of other taxes, as well as experience of managing client accounts. Experience of transaction work and/or the Private Equity market is desirable, but not essential, as full training and support would be provided.
What your days will look like:- You will work in a team providing tax advisory services to a range of PE portfolio company clients delivering bespoke tax advice in relation to the PE portfolio company and the transactions it is involved with. The work is wide-ranging including international tax and supporting our clients throughout the deal cycle.
- Play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with clients. In particular, working closely with clients to provide them with proactive innovative and commercial tax services.
- Seek specialist input from other parts of tax and wider network - in particular Transaction Service and non-UK teams
- Be actively involved in business development activities, helping to identify and research opportunities with new and existing clients
- Use technical knowledge and commercial awareness to help solve important problems for our clients
This role is for you if:- Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CAI) or Chartered Tax Advisor (ATT, CTA) or equivalent international qualification
- UK corporate tax skills and experience as well as good awareness of other taxes (VAT, employment taxes, management taxes etc)
- Some transaction or PE Portfolio experience is desirable, but not essential
- A flexible approach to allow you to work as part of a number of client/transaction teams simultaneously
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and networks, both within the UK and overseas
- Strong analytical, project management and report writing skills.
