About the Role

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician – Organic Oil Products (08.30-16.30) who will support routine laboratory operations and help ensure smooth execution of production-related tasks. You will assist with sample preparation, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a basic understanding of laboratory practices and safety.

  • Prepare, label, and organize samples for production testing. Perform routine laboratory tests under the supervision of senior staff and accurately document results in laboratory records.
  • Assist with maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality at the start and end of each shift. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of test results, sample data, and production information. Support inventory control by monitoring laboratory supplies.
  • Support quality control by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conducting basic quality checks on raw materials and finished products. Report any deviations to the Quality Assurance or Production Manager.
  • Ensure the laboratory is clean, organized, and compliant with safety, hygiene, and waste-disposal regulations. Verify that laboratory supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Prepare chemical and multi-element solutions according to established procedures. Operate balances, volumetric glassware, and pipettes for precise measurements. Safely handle chemical reagents, including strong acids, and assist with basic equipment troubleshooting.

  • College diploma (DEC) or equivalent in Chemistry.
  • Previous laboratory experience is an asset; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

· Exposure to laboratory chemicals and equipment; adherence to safety protocols is required.

· May require standing for extended periods and handling delicate instruments.

· Personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory for this role.

Nous recherchons un(e) Technicien(ne) de laboratoire – huiles organiques (08.30-16.30) qui soutiendra les opérations de laboratoire quotidiennes et contribuera à assurer le bon déroulement des tâches liées à la production. Vous assisterez dans la préparation des échantillons, l’entretien des équipements et les activités d’assurance qualité. Ce poste est idéal pour une personne ayant un bon sens du détail et une compréhension de base des pratiques et de la sécurité en laboratoire.

  • Préparer, étiqueter et organiser les échantillons pour les tests de production. Réaliser des tests de laboratoire de routine sous la supervision du personnel senior et consigner précisément les résultats dans les registres du laboratoire.
  • Assister à l’entretien, l’étalonnage et le nettoyage des équipements de laboratoire pour garantir leur bon fonctionnement au début et à la fin de chaque quart. Signaler toute panne ou problème de sécurité au superviseur.
  • Maintenir des enregistrements précis et organisés des résultats de tests, des données d’échantillons et des informations de production. Soutenir le contrôle des stocks en surveillant l’utilisation des fournitures de laboratoire.
  • Soutenir le contrôle qualité en suivant les procédures opérationnelles standard (SOP) et en réalisant des vérifications de base sur les matières premières et les produits finis. Signaler toute déviation au Responsable Qualité ou au Responsable Production.
  • Veiller à ce que le laboratoire soit propre, organisé et conforme aux réglementations de sécurité, d’hygiène et d’élimination des déchets. Vérifier que les fournitures de laboratoire sont correctement approvisionnées.
  • Préparer des solutions chimiques et multi-éléments selon les procédures établies. Utiliser des balances, du matériel de verrerie volumétrique et des pipettes pour des mesures précises. Manipuler en toute sécurité les réactifs chimiques, y compris les acides forts, et assister au dépannage de base des équipements.

  • Peut nécessiter de rester debout pendant de longues périodes et de manipuler des instruments délicats.
  • Le port d’équipements de protection individuelle (EPI) est obligatoire pour ce poste.
