Job description
Shape compliance strategies at BDO Canada as an Independence and Ethics Senior Manager. Your expertise will guide practitioners and partners in maintaining ethical standards nationwide.

This pivotal role focuses on compliance and transformational initiatives related to independence and ethics within BDO. You will collaborate with internal Risk teams and other stakeholders to enhance processes while ensuring adherence to professional standards. Your efforts will support the firm’s growth and regulatory compliance across various service lines.

Key Responsibilities: • Consult on independence, ethics, and conflict of interest matters • Lead key initiatives and campaigns for compliance improvement • Oversee personal independence processes and conduct audits • Maintain risk management policies related to independence • Research regulatory standards and apply appropriately

Requirements: • CPA, legal designation, or relevant risk/compliance experience • 7-10 years in audit or professional services • Experience leading a team and driving compliance • Strong communicator with senior leaders • Ability to innovate and manage in agile environments
