Emera Energy is seeking a Co‑op, Systems Analyst student for the Fall 2026 term (September 7 to December 18). This 16‑week opportunity offers hands‑on exposure to information technology systems, troubleshooting, and stakeholder support within a dynamic energy trading and marketing environment.
During your time with us, you will gain exposure to what it’s like to be part of the Emera Energy team and develop practical, technical, and problem‑solving skills while supporting critical IT operations.
What you’ll do:
Strengthen your understanding of Windows Desktop O/S (Windows 11) and Windows Server (2022/2025)
Develop your skills in troubleshooting Windows operating systems
Install and upgrade application software
Mitigate security vulnerabilities
Troubleshoot network and application problems
Provide technical support to users and stakeholders
Create innovative ways to help customers work more efficiently through technology
Apply problem‑solving, creativity, and technical skills to real‑world challenges
Work term outcomes:
Improved your Windows O/S troubleshooting skills
Gained exposure to a broad range of applications and support processes
Developed the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
Built an understanding of how Marketing and Trading environments operate and the urgency of delivering solutions
Strengthened skills in requirement gathering, stakeholder engagement, and asking effective questions
Who you are: You’re a motivated and detail‑oriented student with a passion for technology and problem solving, eager to contribute as part of a collaborative IT team.

Experience or interest in providing solutions for technical incidents
Ability to create clear and effective documentation for solutions
