Expected Salary: $67,000 to $83,000. Final base salary is at the Company’s discretion, part of a competitive compensation package.
In this role, you will:
Lead and manage day‑to‑day operations of Babcock Canada’s Metal Stores Warehouse in accordance with company policies.
Ensure compliance with raw‑metal guidelines—including receipt, marking, storage, handling, kitting, delivery and inventory.
Coordinate with stakeholders regarding raw‑metal material activities and deliveries for the EDWP and VISSC.
Aid in resolving quality, supply conflicts and technical inspection issues for all raw‑metal materials.
Communicate function status with internal and external stakeholders.
Consult with waterfront subcontractors to meet production demand safely and timely.
Support project delivery by seeking improvements to policies and workflows.
Maintain a positive Health & Safety culture.
Contribute to cost‑saving initiatives for raw‑metal materials.
Lead regular inventory counts of metal stores.
Collaborate with planning, procurement and warehousing teams to drive engagement and innovation within the P&SC function.
Perform other duties as reasonably required.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of related experience, with 3+ years in warehouse management.
Available for on‑call shifts and varied working hours.
Home‑safe approach and mindset for lead safety.
Background in marine or raw‑metal sectors.
Ability to manage 2‑4 person team, schedule, coach, and conduct performance management.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Capability to operate and supervise manual handling equipment and power tools.
Experience with risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience in inspections and audits.
Professional attitude aligned with Babcock’s purposes and principles.
Knowledge of quality control or assurance best practices is a benefit.
Knowledge of ISO standards advantageous.
Eligible for Canadian Secret Security and ITAR clearance.
