Kawartha Controls is an advanced manufacturing company specializing in precision hydraulic manifolds, CNC machining, automation, and AI-assisted manufacturing systems. We are seeking a motivated Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering and manufacturing team.
This position is supported through a government-funded employment initiative focused on innovation, technology, and early-career technical development.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will support a variety of advanced manufacturing and process improvement initiatives, including:
- CNC programming validation and process optimization
- Engineering design and CAD modeling
- Manufacturing costing and estimating
- AI-assisted manufacturing and workflow improvements
- Quality control and production documentation
- Automation and manufacturing data analysis
- Development and testing of new manufacturing processes and technologies
The role provides hands-on exposure to advanced manufacturing, automation systems, AI-assisted workflow development, and engineering operations within a high-technology manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- A diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in engineering, engineering technology, manufacturing, automation, robotics, physics, computer science, skilled trades, business, or a related field
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Interest in manufacturing, automation, robotics, AI, or process improvement
- Experience with CAD software, programming, CNC machining, or manufacturing systems is considered an asset
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
- SolidWorks
- CAM software
- Python
- Manufacturing automation
- CNC machining
- Data analysis
- AI-assisted workflow tools
Employment Details

- 40 hours per week
- Location: Omemee, Ontario
- Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience
