Diabetes Education Program
Basic Function and Scope:
As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the incumbent will provide diabetes education to individuals with diabetes and their families based on the current Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) Clinical Practice Guidelines for the prevention and management of diabetes in Canada and standards of practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Hours of Work:
Rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, and weekends) as required.
Pay Rate:
$40.24-$57.58
The applicant must be able to meet the physical demands of this position.

Basic Life Support Training, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Training, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Training and Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Training are all provided in house to RNs & RPNs in applicable areas. We prioritize staff well-being at LACGH by endeavoring to create schedules that allow work-life balance, providing free parking to all staff, and our Employee Wellness Program. LACGH is located within a Rural community, as such any Nurse employed at LACGH for more than 1year will be eligible for Canada Student Loan forgiveness through the Government of Canada.
