Job description

Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, AEC Construction to lead the TPM organization supporting AEC Construction. This senior people leader will manage managers, senior TPMs, and distinguished-level TPMs across a globally distributed team spanning North America, EMEA, and APAC. The role is responsible for scaling TPM impact across product delivery, enterprise transformation, and platform/infrastructure programs; improving portfolio governance, prioritization, risk management, and delivery outcomes; and helping the organization adopt AI-enabled ways of working across the software development lifecycle. This leader will report to the Chief of Staff for AEC Construction and partner closely with Engineering, Product, platform, Trust, and enterprise stakeholders to help TPMs move beyond coordination into measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a globally distributed TPM organization across North America, EMEA, and APAC, including managers, senior TPMs, and distinguished-level TPMs. Establish clear operating rhythms across regions and time zones, with a focus on team health, individual growth, clear accountability, and execution quality

  • Guide the TPM organization through adoption of generative AI and AI-enabled software delivery practices to reduce toil, improve decision quality, and scale TPM coverage and effectiveness

  • Own TPM portfolio governance across AEC Construction, including request intake, prioritization, assignment, capacity management, resource tradeoffs, and alignment to strategic business priorities

  • Oversee TPM engagement across product delivery, enterprise transformation, and platform/infrastructure initiatives, ensuring programs have clear ownership, decision paths, risks, mitigations, and measurable outcomes

  • Partner with senior Engineering, Product, platform, Trust, PSET, ESE, and AEC Trust stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, resolve escalations, and ensure TPM work is focused on business value

  • Define and track metrics that demonstrate TPM impact, improve intake and reporting mechanisms, and evolve TPM practices so the team operates as a strategic execution function rather than a coordination layer

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields

  • At least 15 years in technical program management within software or construction sectors, including 5+ years in a leadership role managing diverse teams

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to resolve conflicts and build high-performing teams
