Job description
Job title: Business Consultant / Financial Advisor
Line of business: Technology for Capital Markets & Commercial Banking – Business management team (Project review side)
Duration/end date: 12 months (Possibility of Extension)
Location: Downtown Toronto - Hybrid - 2 days/week in office (flexible)

Project: BAU
Team size: 30 people
Team culture: Collaborative & supportive
Candidate value proposition: Exposure to high visibility efforts with Stakeholders & different areas of the bank. 2 days in office instead of 4.
Summary:
- This team provides governance for the entire Portfolio
- Financial focused
- Looked at each CIO’s portfolio & present monthly information to them in PowerPoint
- Business Analysis (but not requirement gathering)
- Must be able own Processes
MUST HAVE:
- 3 to 5 yrs experience Business Case analysis / Finance
- Solid communication skills – in front of Business Leaders
- Strong Analytical skills
- Excel (Advanced, pivots, etc.)
- Must be comfortable working in an unstructured environment – able to connect dots (no hand holding)
- Autonomous – independent and ability to work on their own
- Eager to learn & develop
- PowerPoint (expert)
- Able to work with large Data sets (which will be provided) & perform financial analysis
NICE TO HAVE:
- Banking/Financial industry
- Combination of skills set: Finance & how to work in Tech world for Financial analysis
Any specific education/certifications: Accounting expertise (No auditor or CPA). Ideally a CMA is a better fit
Interview process: Teams – 1st for skills & 2nd for team fit
Interview dates: As soon as candidates as candidates have been identified. No interviews during week of June 1 to 5th
