Job descriptionLondon X-Ray Associates is seeking a Payroll & Accounting Clerk to join our Finance Team. The ideal candidate is an experienced Payroll professional, who has a good understanding of other functions within the Finance Department, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger Accounting and Financial Reporting. The successful applicant will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for an employee base of 85-90 employees, as well as providing transactional and reporting support within the Finance Department. This is a fulltime, on-site position (40 hours per week) within a growing and successful diagnostic imaging facility. Required Qualifications: - Recent experience processing payroll for both salaried and non-salaried employees - In-depth knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards and federal/provincial taxes and withholdings - Familiarity with time and attendance software systems - Experience using Sage 300 or other ERP systems - Education/training in an accredited Payroll and/or Accounting program, or equivalent work experience; special consideration will be given to candidates enrolled in the Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification program - Advanced MS Office Suite skills; Business Intelligence experience is an asset - Keen interest in ongoing education, to help ensure that internal policies and procedures are updated in compliance with payroll legislation changes - Ability to act in a mature and discrete manner in dealing with sensitive and confidential information - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact in a professional manner with patients, families, all levels of staff - Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a busy environment - An enthusiastic self-starter, with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and to exercise sound judgment - Demonstrated pattern of good attendance - Prior work experience in a health care environment is an asset Immunization Requirements: Before beginning employment at LXA, all new hires will be required to: - Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis; - Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step); - Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated.
