RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Department / Research Program: CHAL
Under her supervision and direction, the incumbent will provide administrative support to Dr. Nadia Giannetti.
General Duties
• Manages schedules and appointments;
• Manages incoming and outgoing communications, including telephone calls, emails, mail, and internal correspondence, takes messages, and responds to inquiries;
• Prioritizes correspondence and responds as needed;
• Interprets requests, assists in gathering information, takes action, and advises on the importance of the issue;
• Acts as the first point of contact, liaising with all Institute staff, both internal and external;
• Organizes and coordinates meetings, prepares agendas and other relevant documentation, drafts meeting minutes, and follows up on points raised;
• Prepares and revises letters, communications, reports, charts, and graphs for internal and external audiences;
• Drafts correspondence and other complex documents;
• Compiles data from various sources, prepares analytical reports, and assists in the preparation of presentations;
• Books conference rooms and audiovisual equipment;
• Coordinates and organizes travel bookings and events;
• Follows up on deadlines and agreements;
• Manages complex administrative requests and functions;
• Performs tasks related to purchasing, tracking periodic expenses, and budget management;
• Performs secretarial duties and maintains a filing system and confidential reports;
• Performs any other related duties as required.

Education: Diplome of College Studies (DEC)
Work Experience: Minimum of five (5) years, General skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
• Advanced knowledge of oral and written French is required.
• An intermediate knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English.
