Our client, a leader in sustainable practices, is seeking a Senior Manager – Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) to join their team. As a Senior Manager – ESG, you will be part of the Supply Chain department supporting various internal and external teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for sustainability which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Senior Manager – Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG)
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000
What's the Job?
- Lead & coordinate HIGG Index requirements with internal stakeholders, supply chain partners, and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition.
- Oversee B Corp certification requirements, collaborating with internal teams and B Corp auditors.
- Manage and monitor a Carbon Neutrality strategy, including tracking Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions.
- Outline and implement company's Circular Economy initiatives.
- Conduct ESG training for internal staff and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency in communication.
What's Needed?
- An advanced degree (Masters or equivalent) in environmental engineering, environmental project management, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 – 8 years of relevant experience in private sector firms, preferably in apparel manufacturing.
- Proven ability to identify environmental/social risks and develop effective mitigation measures.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor and report on ESG policies and practices.
- Experience in leading teams and managing departmental requirements effectively.
