Starlight Investments, in conjunction with WP Osborne Executive Search, is seeking a Vice President, Marketing to join their Marketing team.
Vice President, Marketing
The Vice President, Marketing will be responsible for defining and executing a performance-driven marketing strategy that supports leasing velocity, revenue optimization, and long-term asset value creation across the portfolio. Working closely with senior leadership, the Vice President will oversee the national residential marketing strategy and cross-functional alignment with Asset Management, Leasing, Operations, and Starlight’s third-party property management firms.
This is a highly visible leadership role focused on bringing greater clarity, consistency, and innovation to how marketing operates at scale, across Starlight’s platform.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Portfolio Marketing Strategy & Performance
- Develop and execute a national marketing strategy aligned with leasing targets, occupancy goals, and revenue performance;
- Establish clear KPIs and reporting frameworks across all properties, with a focus on lead generation, conversion, and cost efficiency;
- Partner closely with Asset Management and Leasing teams to ensure marketing efforts are directly tied to asset-level performance;
- Provide strategic oversight of third-party property management marketing and lead management activities, ensuring alignment with Starlight’s standards, performance expectations, and reporting frameworks.
Digital Ecosystem, Data & Performance Optimization
- Oversee all digital marketing channels, including ILS platforms, paid media, SEO, social, and emerging channels;
- Implement and standardize performance tracking and attribution models across the portfolio to enable data-driven decision making;
- Drive visibility into marketing spend, channel performance, and ROI across assets;
- Optimize CRM utilization and integration to improve lead tracking, reporting accuracy, and conversion insights.
Technology, AI & Innovation
- Lead the integration of advanced marketing technologies and AI-driven solutions across the residential platform;
- Enhance digital customer journeys across a large portfolio of property websites, ensuring scalability, discoverability, and performance;
- Identify and implement tools that improve efficiency, automate workflows, and enhance the prospect and resident experience;
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, search, and digital marketing to future-proof the platform.
Brand, Customer Experience & Leasing Enablement
- Ensure consistent brand execution across all properties, including websites, digital campaigns, leasing collateral, and on-site experience;
- Oversee the development of property-level branding and marketing materials to support leasing performance and asset positioning;
- Partner with Leasing and Operations teams to enhance the prospect journey—from first touchpoint through conversion;
- Support the development of differentiated resident and prospect experiences across the portfolio;
- Lead the procurement and implementation of a resident survey program to measure the full resident lifecycle experience—from initial inquiry and move-in through ongoing residency and move-out—leveraging insights to inform marketing strategy, operational improvements, and resident satisfaction initiatives.
Enterprise Integration & Strategic Initiatives
- Support the development of enterprise-wide solutions that improve operational efficiency and connectivity across systems;
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall platform performance;
- Lead key strategic initiatives that enhance the scalability and effectiveness of the residential platform;
- Support the development and rollout of a centralized leasing call centre function, working closely with Leasing and Analytics teams to ensure seamless integration with marketing channels, CRM systems, and lead management processes.
Qualifications
The Vice President, Marketing will possess a university degree in marketing, business, commerce, or related field, and 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing. The successful candidate will have proven experience leading marketing strategy at scale across multiple assets or geographies; strong understanding of digital marketing channels, performance marketing, and analytics; extensive experience working with CRM systems and marketing technology platforms; and a demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights and measurable business outcomes. Strong cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills are essential for success in the position. Familiarity with AI, automation, and emerging marketing technologies is considered a strong asset.
The compensation structure is comprised of a base salary that is market competitive and based on factors such as experience, education, designations, and skillset.
