Job descriptionSenior Manager, AI and Innovation Communications Thomson Reuters is building AI systems that transform how professionals work. Your job is to help tell that story — with precision, speed, and credibility.
As Senior Manager of AI and Innovation Communications, you will be a key executor and contributor on a fast‑moving team responsible for positioning Thomson Reuters as the global technology leader in AI for professionals. You will own significant workstreams end‑to‑end — from product launch communications to customer storytelling to executive content — while working closely with the Director to shape strategy and ensure consistent, high‑quality output across channels.
Key Focus Areas Product and Launch Communications
Support the development and execution of communications strategies for AI product and model launches, translating technical capabilities into clear professional value
Draft and manage core launch materials — press releases, messaging frameworks, FAQs, blog posts, and internal communications
Partner with product and marketing teams to stay close to the roadmap and surface stories ahead of launches
Customer and Impact Storytelling
Own the development of customer success stories and case studies that demonstrate real‑world AI impact with measurable outcomes
Build and maintain a library of customer proof points that sales and marketing can deploy across channels
Identify and develop new content formats that bring Thomson Reuters' AI impact to life in credible, engaging ways
Executive Thought Leadership
Develop content that supports Thomson Reuters' product and technology leaders, including briefing documents, talking points, bylined articles, social content, and speaking prep materials
Help maintain consistent executive voice and positioning across channels and audiences
Partnership and Announcement Support
Support end‑to‑end communications for strategic partnership announcements, including drafting materials and coordinating with partners on aligned messaging and activation
Media and Industry Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with technology, business, and trade media covering AI, legal tech, fintech, and professional services
Monitor AI industry trends, competitive developments, and regulatory discussions to flag relevant opportunities and inform messaging
Responsibilities
Execute AI and innovation communications across product launches, customer stories, executive thought leadership, and partnership announcements
Draft high‑quality content across formats — press releases, blog posts, case studies, briefing documents, bylines, talking points, and sales‑facing materials
Translate AI product innovations into narratives relevant to professional audiences, with a focus on workflow transformation and business outcomes
Work directly with product managers, engineers, and communications colleagues to develop a deep understanding of what’s being built and find the story in it
Support executive media preparation, including interview prep, briefing documents, and message development
Build and maintain media relationships and support proactive and reactive media engagement
Contribute to the development of repeatable playbooks and processes that help the team operate at scale and velocity
Coordinate with marketing, product marketing, sales, and regional teams to keep messaging aligned
Support issues management related to AI, including responsible AI messaging
May manage one direct report or agency/contractor relationships
About You
Have 6–8+ years of experience in technology communications, with a strong preference for experience in B2B technology, SaaS, or enterprise software
Have worked across multiple communications disciplines — product, customer, executive, and/or partnership communications
Come from the technology sector and bring genuine intellectual curiosity about AI — you want to understand the technology deeply, not just communicate about it at a surface level
Have a solid and growing understanding of AI, machine learning, or emerging technologies, and can translate complex concepts into clear, credible narratives for professional audiences
Are a strong, versatile writer who can move between a press release, a byline, and a briefing document without losing quality or speed
Understand how enterprises and professionals evaluate and adopt technology, and can write credibly to that audience
Have experience building or contributing to media relationships with technology and business press
Are comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, matrixed environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is the norm
Have strong instincts for messaging and positioning, and can develop content that holds up to scrutiny
Are excited about using AI tools in your own workflows to work smarter and move faster
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Experience working in a publicly traded company is a plus
