Job descriptionManager, Financial Systems 6-Month Contract to Start | Hybrid — 4 Days Onsite A well-established organization is seeking a Manager, Financial Systems for an initial 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a CPA-designated finance professional with strong experience across financial systems, ERP/reporting tools, financial reporting, data integrity, controls, and process improvement. The Manager, Financial Systems will act as a key finance partner across ERP, reporting, BI, and data initiatives. The role will support system enhancements, improve reporting accuracy, strengthen controls, and work closely with Finance, IT, Operations, and external vendors. Key Responsibilities - Act as the Finance lead on ERP upgrades, enhancements, testing, and system improvement initiatives. - Support finance system administration, reporting processes, and data integrity across financial platforms. - Partner with IT and external vendors to troubleshoot system issues and improve system functionality. - Lead finance involvement in BI/reporting tool improvements and data governance initiatives. - Support financial reporting accuracy by ensuring financial data is complete, reliable, and aligned with accounting standards. - Assist with user access controls, segregation of duties, and finance system controls. - Maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, business processes, and finance procedures. - Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve finance and reporting processes. - Provide support and training to finance users, including troubleshooting and best-practice guidance. - Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting initiatives, and special projects as required. Required Qualifications - University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Current CPA, CA, or CMA designation. - 7+ years of relevant experience in financial systems, finance reporting, accounting, or finance transformation. - Strong double-entry accounting knowledge, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. - Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large financial datasets. - Experience with Power BI, SQL, ERP systems, or reporting tools. - Strong understanding of financial controls, data accuracy, and reporting integrity. - Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Operations, and external vendors. - Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have - Experience with tools such as Pronto, OneStream, Snowflake, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Hyperion, Sage Intacct, JD Edwards, or similar systems. - ERP implementation, migration, upgrade, UAT, data migration, or finance systems administration experience. - Exposure to inventory, multi-currency reporting, manufacturing, distribution, or similar environments. - Experience with data governance, BI reporting, or data warehouse initiatives.
