Job descriptionOur client is looking for mechanical engineers with Nuclear Clearance and PENG. Responsibilities - Handle a range of technical engineering activities related to system improvement, equipment modifications, design support, troubleshooting, validation, and implementation activities. - Work independently on assigned deliverables while coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders when needed. - Apply engineering judgement to resolve technical challenges and support ongoing operational requirements. - Support compliance with applicable industry regulations, client specifications, and internal engineering practices. - Contribute to technical assessments, field support activities, investigations, and engineering evaluations. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, maintainability, and long-term lifecycle performance. - Assist with resolving emergent technical concerns identified during execution phases or through client-driven requests. - Support engineering documentation, reviews, calculations, and technical reporting activities. - Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to meet project schedules and technical objectives. - Promote a strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational excellence. Qualifications - Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or related Engineering discipline. - Several years of relevant engineering experience within industrial, energy, utility, or regulated environments. - Professional Engineer designation or eligibility for registration. - Familiarity with pressure boundary systems, piping design methodologies, and engineering change processes. - Working knowledge of applicable North American engineering and piping codes/standards. - Ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications, and engineering requirements. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. - Comfortable working both independently and within collaborative technical teams. - Experience using engineering software, analytical tools, or technical programming environments relevant to the role. - Prior experience supporting nuclear, power generation, or heavy industrial facilities is beneficial. - Existing site access authorization or clearance eligibility considered advantageous.
