Job description

The Opportunity

Are you looking for a caring, collaborative, values-driven workplace with inspiring teammates and leaders? Do you have the ambition and desire to be the best and thrive at the most impactful global insurance provider in the world? Look no further than Zurich Canada.

If you have experience in large property risk services, and are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Zurich Canada is currently looking for an AVP, Sr. Property Risk Consultant to provide expert risk assessment and consultative services supporting our Large Property accounts.

This is a unique opportunity to build your knowledge and experience for the future in a supportive environment where your voice matters. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Zurich Canada uses artificial intelligence–enabled tools to support certain aspects of the recruitment process, including the initial review and screening of applications. Artificial intelligence is not the sole basis for candidate shortlisting or selection. All hiring decisions are reviewed and made by qualified hiring professionals.

Zurich follows a hybrid work model requiring three days per week of in-person presence.

What you will do

• Assess the quality of complex risks, focusing on key and strategic assets as outlined by Zurich Resilience Solutions standards.
• Evaluate loss potentials in accordance with Zurich and industry definitions.
• Support external customers by identifying, assessing, and reducing the risks to their key/strategic assets and on an overall account basis.
• Provide appropriate risk improvement advice, conduct loss investigations (including trend and root cause analysis), and implement risk improvement programs.
• Communicate effectively with field risk engineers; nurture relationships with underwriting partners, brokers, industry consultants, professional organizations, and approval authorities.
• Develop and implement Customer Service Plans for coordinated accounts to drive efficient field service.
• Ensure consistency and quality of services to the account, including assessments, risk improvement advice, reporting, and time/expense management.
• Explore new service area opportunities, develop new customer services, and identify cross-selling potential.
• Support the commercial growth of Zurich Resilience Solutions by delivering expert consulting and sold services, identifying opportunities, and fostering strong client relationships.
• Manage change within accounts by staying in close contact with customer management and business partners, including reviewing new projects and plans for change.
