Job description
JMC HR Consulting is pleased to partner with LuminUltra in recruiting a Distribution Manager to support their growing operations in Fredericton, NB. LuminUltra is a global leader in applied molecular diagnostics, providing innovative testing solutions that help organizations across the water, energy, and food sectors make critical, real-time decisions. With a strong presence in Fredericton and a growing international footprint, LuminUltra continues to scale its operations to meet increasing demand. Role Overview The Distribution Manager is responsible for leading LuminUltra’s warehouse and distribution operations in Fredericton and ensuring the efficient, accurate movement of products across a global network. This role combines hands-on operational leadership with oversight of logistics coordination, inventory management, and third-party partners. The focus is on execution, team leadership, and the maintenance of reliable, efficient distribution processes in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities - Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including product assembly, order packing, and inventory movement - Lead and support a team of front-line employees, ensuring clear direction, accountability, and performance - Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) partners and freight providers - Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including required documentation and timelines - Ensure inventory accuracy through strong receiving and tracking processes - Monitor operational performance through KPIs and reporting - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste - Support compliance requirements, including export documentation and quality standards - Collaborate with internal teams to support order fulfillment and operational alignment Qualifications & Experience - Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience - 3–5 years of experience in distribution, warehouse operations, or supply chain environments - Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a team - Experience working in fast-paced, hands-on operational settings - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities - High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability - Clear and effective communication skills - Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers is considered an asset - Familiarity with import/export documentation is considered an asset - Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is considered an asset Work Environment Based in Fredericton, NB, this is a hands-on role with regular presence required in the warehouse and distribution environment.
