We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer / Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) to join our Electrical Utilities & Renewables design team in our Halifax, Nova Scotia office. Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and planning of electrical systems, including power transmission and distribution, substation layouts, protection and control systems, and SCADA systems.
Develop detailed design drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and technical documentation using software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Work with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to refine design concepts, perform engineering calculations, and ensure project specifications meet client needs and regulatory standards.
Participate in site visits and fieldwork, collecting essential data, observing construction activities, and supporting construction administration duties.
Seek out project opportunities and assist in preparing proposals, helping to secure new and exciting work.
Prepare technical reports, tender documents, and proposals to support project execution and business development.
Capabilities & Credentials
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required, with registration or eligibility for registration with Engineers Nova Scotia.
This opportunity is open to candidates at all experience levels.
Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD and Revit is valuable, as is familiarity with power systems analysis tools.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain attention to detail, and thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to a positive, supportive team culture.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites within Atlantic Canada as required.
