Short Description
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer III – .NET Backend to join our collaborative team. This senior role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable backend systems and data‑driven applications. This role focuses on modern .NET development, API security, and Microsoft SQL Server, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and cloud‑enabled solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# and .NET frameworks
- Build and support secure RESTful APIs with proper authentication, authorization, and data protection
- Implement API security best practices, including JWT, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and role‑based access control
- Contribute to backend and data architecture decisions aligned with established standards
- Develop and maintain data access layers using Microsoft SQL Server, including efficient T‑SQL queries and stored procedures
- Collaborate with DBAs on performance optimization and schema improvements as needed
- Ensure backend systems meet expectations for scalability, reliability, performance, and security
- Develop and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and API‑level)
- Use Git‑based source control with branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews
- Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines or Jenkins
Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver high‑quality solutions
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5–8+ years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus
- Advanced proficiency in .NET and C#
- Experience building secure APIs using JWT, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar data base products (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL)
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar)
- Strong understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, and secure coding practices
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Familiarity with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Key Vault, API Management) or AWS equivalents
- Experience with ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with API gateways or management platforms
