What is the opportunity?
In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving the transformation of RBC’s Premium Travel Credit Card portfolio. You will be responsible for keeping up to speed on the changing landscape in the Premium Travel cards space in Canada, and ensuring RBC continues to evolve and capitalize on emerging opportunities. You will contribute to the overall financial goals of the business and lead the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives with a keen focus to accelerate market execution and ensuring cross-functional alignment. You will act as a key liaison between strategy and delivery, collaborating with Marketing, Sales Enablement, Technology and external partners to bring innovative card solutions to market while elevating client experiences.
What will you do?
Partner with leadership to refine and execute the Avion portfolio’s value proposition strategy, ensuring differentiation in the premium travel segment.
Lead cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Salesforce Enablement, Operations, Technology) to deliver initiatives on time, resolving bottlenecks and negotiating trade-offs.
Develop and implement go-to-market plans, including campaign strategy, sales enablement, and client onboarding journeys.
Monitor portfolio performance (e.g., acquisition, retention, revenue) and recommend data-driven adjustments to optimize outcomes.
Foster relationships with internal and external partners to enhance card benefits and loyalty integrations.
Create executive-level updates and business cases to secure buy-in for strategic priorities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and risk frameworks throughout transformation initiatives.
Mentor and guide team members to uphold a culture of agility, accountability, and client-centric innovation.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
6+ years of experience in product management, strategy execution, or transformation roles within financial services, travel, or loyalty programs.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in matrixed environments.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to align stakeholders and resolve conflicts.
Expertise in go-to-market execution, including campaign development, sales enablement, and client lifecycle management.
Exceptional analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and present insights to senior leaders.
Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change, coupled with a results-oriented mindset.
Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field;
Nice to have:
Direct experience with credit card portfolios or travel loyalty programs.
Familiarity with Canadian banking regulations and compliance frameworks.
Digital transformation or agile methodology certification.
