The role is based in the Toronto office, responsible for about 40 employees and will be directly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Role Description The HR Coordinator is responsible for executing and supporting core HR processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all people operations. This is an operational role, directly impacting employee experience and internal efficiency, that requires moderate autonomy on execution and operational decisions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES HR Administration · Manage employee lifecycle processes (contracts, onboarding/offboarding, labor changes) · Maintain HRIS data accuracy · Ensure proper documentation and compliance (Ontario regulations) · Support payroll processes (coordination with external provider) Recruitment & Onboarding · Coordinate recruitment processes (interview scheduling, candidate communication) · Post job openings · Support structured interview processes · Manage onboarding (documentation, first-day experience, follow-up) Employee & Manager Support · First point of contact for HR-related queries · Resolve basic employee issues · Escalate complex cases when needed · Support performance and development processes HR Processes & Continuous Improvement · Standardize HR processes · Identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities · Support HR projects (engagement, culture, compensation, training initiatives) Reporting & Basic Analytics · Track HR costs and metrics (turnover, time-to-hire, etc.) · Prepare reports for management · Support internal audits KEY COMPETENCIES · Ability to deliver processes end-to-end with quality · Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking · Clear and structured communication · Customer Orientation · Ownership and proactive mindset REQUIREMENTS · Fluency in English (written and verbal skills). Spanish will be valued. · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field · Experience: 2–4 years in operational HR roles · Knowledge of Canadian (Ontario) employment legislation · Strong working knowledge with MS Office EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS · Full-time, fixed-term contract (6 months). Renewable based on performance and business needs · Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday · Work Model: Onsite, Toronto Office · Compensation: Base salary CAD $50,000 – $60,000 (annualized), $26 to $31 per hour.
